DESIGN FINAL PROJECT - ZAP

This is the Presentation board for the Zombie Apocalypse Shelter project. Includes the details of the survivors, their method of survival (food, weapon..), floor plans, exploded drawings, sections, elevations, perspectives (exterior and interior).

STORY BOARD - PERSPECTIVES

Referring back to our own individual design layout, we were to produce 6 perspective drawings of interior spaces. as i mentioned previously, I'm really not that good at 2 points. but i tried my best. and came up with 3 one-point perspectives and 3 two-point perspectives. :) Its actually shows the flow between the spaces.

sketches using pencil.

traced back on with the details put in together.

COMPACT RESIDENCE COMPOSITION BOARD- MARKER RENDER

SECTION AND ELEVATION OF THE COMPACT HOUSE.

tried different compositions, and finally came up with this one. honestly, im really not good at composing :/ but this went better than expected :) i actually had a fun time doing this. playing around with the colours and the shadings.

2-POINT PERSPECTIVE MEASURING METHOD

Previously we learnt the photography method, and now we are focusing on the measuring method. Honestly i had quite a few difficulties at first, with all the technical lines. but later on got a better idea. i actually did this around 3 times. (A)

Technical lines on cartridge paper with the outlines of the furnitures.

as you can see, those lines are quite confusing. but using of different colours made it easier later on :)

Tracing paper and pen with the human figure and the furnitures placed.

should have extended the size of the area to fit into the A3.

Marker rendering of the 2-point perspective measuring method.

Extended the previous one so that it fits the whole paper. comment i received was that the ceiling was empty.

TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE - PHOTOGRAPHY METHOD

We were asked to search for photographs of two point perspective interior space. And to determine the vanishing points. Then we were asked to draw the same photo on tracing paper.

Medium: Ink

A4 two point perspective Interior space.

using colour pencil we determined the vanishing points of the photograph. And in my case, one point lies within the paper, while the other one was wayyy beyond the A3 paper.

I received a B+ for this assignment.

MODEL MAKING, PHOTOGRAPHY AND BOARD COMPOSITION.

We were asked to make a model of the previously drawn floor plan. And then later on to photograph the model in the sky room (not sure about the name O.O) using the dslr.

Lastly, to compose a presentation board using photoshop.

ORTHOGRAPHIC PROJECTION AND PARALINE DRAWING (EXPLODED)

We were given a plan drawing of both the ground floor and the mezzanine floor. We were asked to draw these plans to scale and later on draw the sections, elevations and the RCP.

The second task was to explode the Floor plan.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN
I got a B for this. (No surprise ;P). The comment I received was "circle for grid must be bigger, use better quality paper, not fine. Improve Architectural lettering. Bold pencil for column"

And i should've known to buy better quality paper :) but i was being a bit stingy! :P

MEZZANINE FLOOR

Here comes another B. And the comment I received was "Good drawing skill, Bold void line and to put the "up" symbol for the staircase"

SECTIONS DRAWINGS

B+ for this drawing. Comment I received was "to improve Architectural Lettering"

I get too lazy when it comes to Architectural Writing, after drawing for so long. My laziness is totally affecting my marks T.T

ELEVATION DRAWING

yayyy! FINALLY AN A!! xD haha!

another A :D wheeeee! xD

PARALINE DRAWING (DRAFT)

this is the 3rd assignment actually. And it is all new to us. We've never tried exploding any of our drawings before, so in the beginning it was quite confusing, with all the draft lines.

PARALINE DRAWING (TRACING PAPER W/ INK)

but we came through, and that with a B. I made a few silly mistakes. forgot to draw some elements, forgot to remove some. Tsk tsk. >.< but well, for a first timer, it was good. :)
